Tooth Fairy comes early...

A few months ago Madison hit her tooth on her friends head while jumping on the bed. She bent it back and it ended up going a bit gray. Then just a few nights ago she was playing and fell and her face hit the coffee table and bent her same front tooth all the way back so it looked as though she didn't have a tooth. Brian immediately pulled it forward as Madison yelled, "no daddy please don't." We called three dentist's that night and got all of their opinions on the matter. We were especially interested in what the pediatric specialist dentist had to say. He told us that if the blood supply was good to that tooth she could keep it, but to bring her in Thursday. This happened Monday night after Family Home Evening...we obviously didn't pray for her to have a safe trip home:-) We were debating whether to Bring Madison in since we don't have dental insurance, but Madison hit her head on Abby's head that day which compelled us to take her in. We dropped in as Dr. M told us to and had him check out her tooth. The office was amazing with arcade games for free, a play house, movie playing at all times, and fish. It was a child's dream office. We waited to be seen and once it came to our turn we went back. (Background, Dr. M is my parent's home teacher and in their ward in Provo) He took one look at Madison's tooth and pronounced it not saveable and that it has to come out. It had gotten infected and never really healed from the first hit and Madison was lucky she hit it again so that we could take care of it before it damaged her permanent tooth. He then went on to say that she has an overbite due to her binky sucking and he would have to correct that with a retainer before he could fit her for another retainer that will have a new tooth hooked to it. I looked at him and simply stated that we didn't have dental insurance to which he replied, "I'll just treat it as a service. Besides, I am your parent's home teacher." I don't know anywhere in any church handbook where it says to give free service to family who doesn't even live at home anymore. I almost started crying right there in gratitude to Dr. M for helping us out this way. It's so important to us for Madison to keep her permanent tooth and to be able to have a tooth until her permanent tooth comes in. It won't be coming in for 2-3 years. I know that Heavenly Father truly looks out for his children and supports them when in need. Just a small miracle I thought I would share:-)

Dancing Daughters...

Madison is so sweet to her sister Abby. She loves to play with her and dance with her. This was our Sunday night activity. They had so much fun together. One of my favorite thing about having two girls and Madison as the oldest is that she always makes sure Abby has whatever she has. My mom gave her some strawberries and she saved two for Abby who wasn't even there. If I give anything to Madison she always says, "and one for Abby." Got to love being a mom!

Out of the mouth of babes...

Brian was putting Madison down for a nap and as he was leaving her room she said:
M: "I will love you when I wake up."

Yesterday during FHE Abby pointed to a picture of jesus and said:
"Jesus, He nice" and repeated it over and over again.

Mesia, Madison's cousin, was over and saw her new bike we got her at a garage sale. It's too big for her right now so she said, "When my bike gets smaller I will take it home and ride it."

Last night Madison fell on the coffee table and bent her already damaged tooth completely back...it looked like she lost a tooth. Brian immediately pulled it forward into place. This morning when she woke up I heard her calling from her room, "I'm awake. My tooth is all better. It doesn't hurt." When I went to go and get her she said, "my tooth is all better. It clicked into place."

I'll have to post some more later...I'm on duty right now:-)

Backyard Fun!

I love this one...it was the only one I got of Abby smiling at me.

The Crazy Monkey

Hogle Zoo with Emily and Cannon

They got to ride the Carousel and loved it

Cousins...aren't they so cute. On our way to see Cannon, Madison said, "oh, he's Abby's best friend. He is mine too. Is Kevin going to be there or Cannon's mommy?" I love that she is getting to know her cousins better while we are here in Utah.

"Lion's, Tigers, and Bears oh my." There weren't any Lion's, but there were Tigers and Bears. I think our favorite were the monkeys and the Ape. The Ape was asleep right at the glass window and then he got up and walked around a bit before crashing again in front of the glass. He is so big!

Abby and Madison at the Montshire a few days before we left NH!

Madison and Abby's new favorite thing. Clare bought this for Grandma's house and the girls have gone on a walk every day in it! What a fun toy! Too bad I am the one who has to work for the fun.

What a character!

JSM before we left for Utah. I love this place...it's so peaceful.

Melissa and Joshua's visit in July

This was the long awaited train ride Madison and been wishing for for over a year. Abby even loved it. We went from the Montshire Museum to Thetford VT and back. It would not be my first choice of travel that is for sure!

Random Catchup

I had filled the pool earlier in the day so it could warm up and I was cutting Brian's hair on the porch and the next thing I know Abby is in the pool with all her clothes and shoes on.

We fed the ducks for a Family Home Evening one night and the girls loved it. We got a pizza and had a picnic dinner there as well.

We went to the Park City Condo this last weekend and Madison and Mesia had their first sleep over together. They loved it!

This is Abby being silly and Madison and Abby at Michelle's pool Sat. night. It was an Evans family dinner and pool party. We had a good time. My girls love the water.

Hampton Beach with Melissa and Josh

This is some catching up off our other camera...We found this chair in the garbage and used it while at the beach and then put it right back. Abby and Madison loved to sit in it! Gotta love the Beach. It was so windy as you can see:-)

I think the highlight ended up being the feeding of the seagulls. Abby would squeal in delight as Madison would through bread to them. They weren't huge on the bananas we tried to feed them.

Abby is practicing her surfing skills. How is she doing?
