Madison wanted to join in on the fun and so she came in the room for a few minutes and posed for the camera...this is when we got her to give her sister a kiss.
We were having a hard time calming sister down, but then Brian came to the rescue and swaddled her and put her binky in and we were in business. It was after that we got these other pictures...as you can tell, Madison was not about to do a family pictures and was not going to cooperate. These were the only family pictures we got:-) Funny huh? You can imagine why I was happy about getting a good one of sister and Madison since this was Madison's mood:-)
I just love this little girl. I love every part of her so I took pictures to remember that. She is perfect right now as I would love to be. She truly brightens our home and adds a spirit that wasn't here before.
I count this photoshoot a success because we were able to capture Madison's love for her little sister. I was hoping that we would be able to catch Madison kissing her sister and we did! It's one of my favorites.
Isn't he just adorable! We are so excited to have had babies together. Emily and Kevin will be great parents and Mesa will be a great older sister. We love you guys and wish you all the best of luck.
Here is a real mom. She has been here twice before and not once made it to the Joseph Smith Memorial because she is selfless and was here when I had a baby or was sick with pregnancy. We finally made it on her third time out here. She has been great and I hope to be half the mom she has been to me to my girls when they have children. She cooks, cleans, stays up with the baby at 1 am, takes care of Madison, cleans, the list goes on and on. She's great company and makes me feel like I'm the best mom ever. What more could one ask for. Well, she leaves tomorrow and part of my heart breaks to think that...I knew she couldn't stay forever, but longer than 12 days would be nice. We have great friends here that are willing to help out. The Lord has truly taken care of us and continues to do so. We are never alone!
Madison does everything with her baby or does what the baby does. She was trying to put on the baby's clothes in one picture and loves to sit in the car seat. She is funny to watch with her doll. She puts diapers on her, dresses her, wraps her in numerous blankets, and feeds her through her belly button:-) Madison loves her little sister. She has to see her every time she comes downstairs in the morning.
These were taken at home the day after we got home. The second photo if you look closely shows her dimple on her cheek. She only has one and we love it. She truly is an angel and we are enjoying her so much. We still don't have a name so we call her little miss Evans.
She got here weighing 7 lbs. 9 oz. and was 20 inches long. She was born at 1:06 pm on the fourth of April. It was a great and easy labor. I only had to push for 20 minutes! The staff was great.
Madison loved her new sister. It was so fun to have her hold her and kiss her. She was excited to see her and was very concerned with her while she was here. She will be a great older sister!
