We bought these random silk scarves from the second hand store for the girls to use...they have many uses such as dress up, arm slings, casts, blankets for babies, etc. It is suppose to help with their imagination:-)
Madison planted this sunflower from a seed at Preschool. It grew so tall it snapped and died. It was fun to watch it pass our window.
The three amigos. These girls played together everyday this summer. What good friends.
Biking extravaganza. Usually I go, but due to my knee, Brian took the girls. This is how they go with Abby...
This is how the two of them go. It's called a tag-a-long bike and Madison loves it!
They go on hour long bike rides and Madison pedals the entire time.
Don't know why I took this...oh, I remember now. She asked me to take her picture...I guess she felt cute:-)
Morning out. All of them climbed on the bee and had a blast...only when it was moving though, so the smiles aren't real unless they were bouncing and then I couldn't get a picture.
On the Ferry to Mackinac Island. We stayed in Mackinaw City and then went over to the island and walked the main street and saw the Hotel and then went on a bike ride around the entire Island (8 miles). Brian and I were on a tandem single speed and pulled Abby and Madison behind in the trailer. Rick and Tamara also rode a tandem. It was so much fun. I sat on the back and put up my feet most of the time since my knee was still recovering from the surgery.
On the Ferry...it was really cold and foggy to start and then it cleared up and was beautiful by the end.
I took this for you mom. There were so many light houses.
No cars are allowed on the island so Madison could ride her scooter in the road and all she had to watch out for were horse carriages and bikes. It was like going back in time.
I saw this huge wasp nest since I couldn't walk very fast I found that I took in the scenery a lot more. I would hate to see that full of wasps.
Cute Church on the Island.
View from the Grand Hotel...Do you like the horse drawn carriage carved from bushes?
The Grand Hotel where "Somewhere in Time" was filmed.
The island was so beautiful and full of paths, trees, etc.
Madison and Abby had fun finding fairy houses all over. I took a few pictures of the houses they found.
The arch...we didn't hike up to it, but it was beautiful.
This is how Abby traveled...in style right? She napped most of the ride.
Madison begged to go in the water the whole time, so we finally stopped and she got out and got wet and ended up playing in her leggings...I'm glad I got the picture before that.
We stopped in front of this old abandoned hotel. I'm sure it was grand in it's day, but is now on the opposite side of the island where all the tourists go.
Another old house next to it. I love the steps and oldness of it all.
This was the view we had during the entire bike ride. Like how we could just ride on the road? It felt weird and I kept thinking a car might come:-)
On the drive home...see the fall foliage out the window? It was so gorgeous and it's not even peak yet.
Then we went apple picking and made carmel apples, dried apples, and apple crisp and drank our apple cider and cider donuts! Mmmm!

Oh my, what a trip! Thanks for the light house picture. I am so glad Tamara and Rick were able to spend so much time with all of you when Brian was off. The girls are adorable in all the pictures! Give them a squeeze for me.
This brought back so many memories, but made me miss you even more!
