Cute Girls...

They were so fun...Abby wanted her picture taken, but wouldn't smile or even look at the camera half the time. I was able to get these and a few other funny ones...

Mommy Daughters Date

Brian was on call so we thought we would have some fun and get the girls all dressed up, do their hair, paint their nails and feet, put on lip gloss and a necklace and head out to do a photoshoot. The girls had more fun getting ready, but Madison was fun on the shoot. Abby wouldn't cooperate...she is in this really cheesy faces only phase. I find it funny and fun to take pictures of. We also went with some friends and did her daughters six month old shoot. She was fun!

Abby's many faces...

These are some pictures Melissa took when I was cutting Madison's hair. These are the faces we get when we tell her to smile and say cheese. Classic I know. I love it!

Madison's first hair cut...

Combing the hair and getting it wet...

Cutting...I can't believe Madison let me...she has been fighting this for so long and today she said she wanted a haircut, so I did it!

Madison is four and this is her first hair cut. It was pretty much dead at the ends and needed a trim, so we watched a youtube video on how to cut hair and went for it. It was great fun and Madison was so excited. It looks so much healthier. More pics to come since we are doing a photoshoot tonight with a friend:-)

...then along came Polly

These are the faces I was getting until the dog showed up...oh, there are their smiles:-)

Pose...What are you doing Abby?

Sisterly love!

It was so sad to see Aunt Missy leave. Abby still asks where she is and when I tell her she is in Utah she says, "That where Mesia is."

Abby was so funny. When I would tell her to turn around and look at me, this is what she would do. I just wanted her to look over her shoulder. Instead she would flip around and pull this pose. Funny and cute, but not exactly what I was looking for:-)

Huron Lake

alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5499804761626579362" />
This is the lake we love to walk around. I has this boardwalk all around it. It's full of ducks, turtles, swans, blue herons, fish, and all sorts of wild life. These are the things we saw last time. The girls love it and it's so beautiful and peaceful.
We finally got the Swans to come over after bribing them with bread. Aren't they beautiful?

Madison has been watching Pocahontas A LOT lately and loves these willow trees. They look like Grandmother Willow from the movie. Abby and she plays in them all the time. They are everywhere here in MI.

"Aunt Missy is here!"

At the playground. They were playing tag and I made them stop for a picture.

Brian throwing Madison up in the air at Independence Lake. We have gone twice now and the girls love it. Abby can walk so far out before it gets deep.

Maybe one day we can sit in here for one game. The person who was there said if you got 20 people to share the suite with you it would only be $20/person...not too bad:-)

This was taken on our way to the Michigan Stadium. They just completed the construction on the new suites. We got to go and tour it. It was fun!
It is so fun to have Melissa here to visit. The girls can't wait for her to wake up and love it when she is awake. They love wearing their sunglasses together, playing at the playground, swimming at the lake, feeding the fish, taking walks, putting on make-up, and singing with her. She is such a school teacher. She never skips a beat to teach wether it's swimming, a new song, how to spell Madison's name, etc. It's great!!!!

Down by the Banks...

Melissa took these pictures. Isn't the one of the ducks so peaceful!

First Horse Rides...

Like father like son. How fun is this? Brian on his first horse ride, Madison on hers, and Abby on her second ride. Got to love the Cabin! It's a family tradition full of memories and good times!

Just some tender moments...

Just thought I would post some pictures of Brian as a baby and as a Senior in HS. Now I am married to this man and love him to death. He is a great Father and husband and one couldn't ask for anyone better. The moments when I know he is exhausted, yet still play with the girls, read them books, and make them feel like they are his only concern in the world. He then gives me that same undivided attention and love. Thanks Brian!!! Isn't he such a cute baby? Madison and Abby just love looking at these pictures. As I was posting them Abby kept squealing in delight over them saying, "That's my daddy!"

He did it!

This is Brian in the 6th grade. He was suppose to come dressed in what he wanted to grow up to become. He knew at age 11 that he wanted to be a Doctor. Well, many years later, he has become an MD. He is now Dr. Brian Evans. I know he doesn't feel like a doctor or that he knows everything or even part of EVERYTHING, but he did graduate in June with his MD from Dartmouth Medical School. We weren't there to celebrate his graduation, but I wanted him to know that I am so proud of him. It wasn't always easy, but Brian kept going and working hard to become the best he could. He has grown in areas that only going through third year medical school could have done! We have now moved on to our next phase of life in Michigan. Brian is doing his Anesthesia training here while we enjoy the fun life and people of our town.

Pace Shoot. She is another Photographer here and her husband is Anesthesia too. Her girls are about the same age as Madison and Abigail. It was a fun shoot. More are here.

Playground Fun!!!

Our little outing...

We decided to take our bikes to the playground around the corner. It's so funny to watch Abby try and ride and steer at the same time. It's catastrophic at times. She is getting better though.

Our House...Part of it:-)

Here is the outside of our Condo. The girls are escaping. They try that every chance they can get since we don't let them outside by themselves:-)

Still working on a king size bed skirt, but most of it is together. I am still working on stuff...like hanging pictures on the walls...I am so afraid to put a hole in the beautiful, time consuming walls we just painted. It will happen sooner or later.

The girls' room. They love sharing a room even though we now have two. Just to brag, the crib was $20 and Madison's bed with the comforter was $70. The bookshelf was free and the dresser was $4.

This is my favorite place to be. I just love my leather couches...it only took 5 years of marriage to get them:-) Thanks to Brian for letting me get them. They were $200 for the set, the end tables were free along with the lamp, 2 floor lamps and tv stand. The bookshelf was $20 and the rugs were $15 for the pair. I am very happy with our purchases:-) It's been fun furnishing our house for cheap. Thanks to Criagslist and garage sales and lots of prayers. We found exactly what we wanted, needed, and things we didn't know we needed:-)

Fun Things About MI

They have .5% milk here...I guess Skim and 1% weren't good enough:-)

You can go 70 mph legally on the freeway!

The saying is "If you don't like the weather, just wait 10 minutes" (This was the same saying in Newfoundland Canada on my mission:-)

They have what they call a Michigan turn where you have to go through the light and turn in a turn lane to go the opposite direction to get back to the intersection and go right...It's crazy, but they are all over here. They also have these crazy round abouts with 4-5 exits and two the three lanes...almost got in a car accident the other day:-)

The police will come and unlock your car if you lock your keys in them for FREE!!! They aren't too busy here:-) I know because I did it at Costco the other day with the car running:-) He was there within 5 minutes. I was also told to call 911 for that emergency:-)

We had a record breaking heat wave where they were opening cool spots all over the East coast for people to go to them and cool down. They were even giving people drinks with it!

We are loving our time in Ann Arbor and the girls are adjusting. Brian is doing great and we are all moved into our new apartment. Pictures to come. I still have to hang pictures and such. We have been so blessed it's unbelievable. I know now more than ever that my Heavenly Father is mindful of us! Even things he knows we need that we don't know we need he blesses us with:-) Life is good. Brian has the weekend off and we are all looking forward to that.

Oh, we got our first pay check. It was an amazing feeling putting money in the bank that was earned, not loan money. I can't wait to start paying off our loans! That will feel good. It's nice knowing Brian has skills enough to get paid. He is an MD now and has Brian Evans MD. on his tag now instead of Brian Evans Med. Student...it's a whole new world. Still at the bottom of the totem pole, but not as far down:-)
