Melissa the Photographer

Brian actually took this one...we just got back from canoeing!
Brian and Mads were swinging on the big swing...Madison loved it!
Tag...your it mommy! Melissa was practicing taking pictures and did a good job huh?
Madison was copying what mommy was doing and Melissa caught it on camera. We loved having Melissa here and are going to miss her so much. I started crying after I dropped her off at the airport. She was fun and helped me through Madison's teething, screaming fit stage.

Hill Cumorah Pageant '07

Christ with the children. There was a huge cast this year...over 700.
Madison in the sacred grove. She loved walking the paths all throughout the grove.
This is for Emily...
Here's your friend and this is how devistated she was that you (Em) weren't there:-)

Madison before the pageant looking up at the towers where the work crew sit.
This is one of the battles. We thought the smoke was cool! It was so fun taking pictures of the event. We loved being in the audience. We were able to see many friends. Many asked about Em and missed her. Many send their love to CL and VV.
King Noah was good this year. It was a great performance and the costumes and sets were better this year.
Melissa remembers lael sitting up by the water playing in it when she was in this scene and was so bored:-)

New York City

Ground Zero. It was such a humbling experience to be there. We then walked around to a place where they had plaques with all the names of those that had died. It was heart renching and more of a reality. I was very touched and realized how many are still affected to this day, yet my life just goes on.
Brian and I in central park near one of the resevoirs. It was Sunday and we had just gotten out of church. It was so hot!
Melissa posing for glamour magazine. They kept begging her for her picture, so she finally let them. They paid her well for it:-)
Wall Street on a Sunday isn't half as interesting as it would be on another day. It was quiet and nice!

Top of the Empire State Building!
This is a view from the top! It was breathtaking. I'm glad Brian wanted to go to the top!
Times Square at night! There were huge moving screens all over.
Brian and I in Times Square too! We loved the night life of NYC!

Brian wanted to be on the show, but they were getting people for Monday and we were leaving on Sunday:-(
Melissa taking a picture with "the wall" from the play the Fantastiks. It was an off-broadway show that we went to see. It was pretty good...not a broadway by any means, but it was good!
Melissa saw this sign outside of a jewlery store and had to have Brian pose there.
Melissa and I at the top of the Empire State Building. It was 86 floors up!

Brian and I at the Rockefeller Center in NYC. This is where all the ice skating/Christmas tree scenes in movies takes place:-)
My sister and I at the same spot!
Times Square! It was a lot more impressive at night.
Melissa and I in times square facing the other direction. We had so much fun in NYC. It was a blast and we made memories!

Backyard fun!

Madison has been making this face often. She just purses her lips together and talks. It's so cute! I'm glad I caught it on camera!
I am teaching Melissa photography and this is one of the pictures she took today.
This is another one of the yard where we are house sitting. It's the most beautiful yard!
Madison giving us a bonefied smile. She is so fun and loves to laugh, squeal, and smile!

Fourth of July

Madison in the ambulance..."Now, what does this button do?"
When we took her out of the ambulance, she wanted to go right back in again.
My sister just flew in and will be with us for a few weeks! We love it...all but Madison seem to be enthused.
This is Madison's reaction every time she sees an animal.
